As we get past the “Big Game” and really get things ramped up for the heart of 2015, it serves as a time to remember that with the New Year comes the adoption of new building codes. Depending upon what state you are located in the Luna & Associates regions, those changes may have larger implications than in years past. Continuous insulation, air/vapor barriers, and NFPA 285 requirements are just some of the many changes that are coming in the newer versions of the IBC codes. In anticipation of these wide sweeping changes, Luna & Associates has invested heavily into resources to make sure we are equipped to properly answer your questions, both with code compliant materials and personnel. We have hired two seasoned associates to help you correctly design and install these materials in a code compliant manner.
Rob Fisher comes to L&A from Fisher Building Services in Omaha, Nebraska. He has over 12 years of experience in installing below grade waterproofing, air/vapor barriers, water repellants, concrete/masonry restoration, spray polyurethane foam insulation, cementitious fireproofing, fire stopping, joint sealants, and expansion joint assemblies. When he left Fisher Building Services he was the Chief Estimator and Project Manager for Iowa and Nebraska. Rob will be tasked with Outside Sales duties to meet with architects, contractors, and consultants mainly in the Nebraska / Iowa markets. However, his expertise will be utilized in all Luna & Associate territories.
Stephanie Waggoner comes to L&A with a background of over 14 years of experience in the construction industry. She has an Associates Degree in Architectural Engineering from Iowa Western Community College. She has been a Project Manager with Divercon, Inc., Scott Enterprises, Inc. and most recently with Commercial Flooring Systems, Inc. Stephanie will be mainly tasked with Inside Sales duties which will include project tracking, CAD detail assistance, and general support for building envelope needs as they arise. She will begin her career with L&A on February 23, 2015.
With the addition of Rob and Stephanie, we will be even more available to meet with you in your office or jobsite to assist you in meeting these new codes. We can design project specific tie in details to make sure all materials are both compatible and warrantable. Since 2011 L&A has grown from 4 employees to our current 12 employees. There is no other company that has made this large scale commitment to helping you, the specifier, navigate the new codes with experienced personnel and complete reputable product lines. We look forward to putting this experience to work for you on your next project. As always, if you have any questions, please contact your local Carlisle Rep to discuss in further detail.
